Apple Inc. Plans to Launch Low-Cost iPhone and iPad

Reports revealed that Apple Inc. plans to launch a new low-cost 5G iPhone and iPad on or near March 8.

The launch would be the first since October 2021, when the company unveiled new MacBook Pro laptops.

Accordingly, markets expected the iPhone maker to hold a virtual live stream launch. Apple Inc. has held online events since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At present, the tech giant offers a low-cost model tagged as iPhone SE that retails for $399.00. This most recent iPhone model has Appleā€™s Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

In line with this, experts anticipated that the updated unit could have the same design but a faster processor and 5G support.

Meanwhile, the new iPad will be the updated version of the iPad Air. The last update of the device was in October 2020 and currently retails for $599.00.

Subsequently, the report came after the surprising holiday quarter that far exceeded Wall Street predictions.

The upbeat fourth-quarter results helped quell fears that supply-chain problems would hurt sales.

It will also include new emojis and Universal Control, allowing customers to use a single keyboard and trackpad across multiple Apple devices.

After the March event, experts expected the firm to hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June.

Moreover, the business is currently working on a high-end mixed reality headset. It initially planned to announce the device at the end of 2022.

However, the development challenges have delayed the timing. Still, Apple Inc. projects the device to be available by 2023.
