On Tuesday, Apple’s iPhone SE 4 reportedly plans to remove the iconic home button and replace it with Face ID, akin to the iPhone 14.
According to reports, the phone’s flagship will also acquire a notch at the top of the screen. The iPhone SE 4 will also have an Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display and a bigger 6.1-inch screen, and the Random Access Memory (RAM) will double to 8GB.
Furthermore, analysts revealed that it could run the company’s newest Apple Intelligence.
Sources also disclosed that the looming iPhone SE 4 would duplicate the iPhone 14 design, detaching from the iPhone 8’s home button feature to a bezel-less screen with a cut.
Moreover, it will include the A18 chip from the iPhone 16 model. However, unlike the iPhone 14 models, it is anticipated to have a single rear camera.
Analysts highlight that the overhauled SE flagship will target budget-conscious customers and possibly regain market share lost to brands such as Huawei and Xiaomi.
Meanwhile, Apple’s starting phone price was last revised in 2022, when the iPhone SE introduced a 5G network.
It is uncertain whether the starting price of next year’s model, $429.00, will be maintained. The price could rise slightly to reflect its enhanced, more modern design.
