Apple to kick off its 2nd product event of season

According to the latest news, Apple is expected to kick off its 2nd product event of the season, a month after announcing its new iPhone 13 lineup.

On Monday, the tech giant is set to announce two high-end MacBook Pro laptops that are powered by its next-generation silicon chip. Furthermore, the firm will likely introduce an update to its entry-level AirPods that is similar to the features of the AirPods Pro line.

Remarkably, several companies are pushing out new gadgets ahead of the all-important holiday season.

The market is also focused on another companies announcement. Later this week, the search giant Google will unveil its Pixel 6 smartphone. Meanwhile, Samsung is hosting a mysterious press event.

However, these products are launching amid ongoing worries about global component shortages and logistics issues. As far as we know, Apple confronted supply constraints earlier this year, mainly impacting the iPad and Mac. It’s now reportedly considering lowering its iPhone production goals for the year due to the chip shortage. The tech giant declined to comment.

There continues to be an increasing demand for PCs despite the shortages, however. According to market research company IDC, PC shipments, including desktops and notebooks, recorded 83.6 million units in the second quarter of the year, up 13.2% from the same period a year ago.

The next-generation MacBook Air is expected to be released in 2022

Remarkably, the next-generation MacBook Air is expected to be released in 2022. According to the same leaker who mentioned the notch coming to the 2021 MacBook Pro models, it will feature a notch.

In a post from August discussing the new MacBook Pro models, leaker Ty98 stated that the next-generation ‌MacBook Air‌ will have the same notch that Apple is launching for the MacBook Pro.

He also announced that the ‌MacBook Air‌ will have a better design as the firm plans to eliminate the current wedge design. As we know, the ‌MacBook Air‌ has long had a design that transitions from thicker at the back to thinner at the front. The leaker maintains that the next ‌MacBook Air‌ will have a round and light design.

Furthermore, other ‌MacBook Air‌ rumors have revealed that Apple is designing a thinner and lighter version with thinner bezels than the current model. It is anticipated to feature a 13-inch mini-LED display, several color options, and a renewed version of the M1 chip.
