On Wednesday, August 18, Asia Pacific stocks climbed as they rebounded from yesterday’s losses. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index led the region’s gains by 0.75%.
The latest MSCI All Countries Asia Pacific Index as of August 17 fell 1.29% with a net loss of $2.55. This sent the stocks to the bottom at $195.69 per share.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index pushed the Asia Pacific stocks up. It increased 0.75% with a net gain of $192.95, which sent the stocks above $25,939 per share.
Its best performers include Xinyi Solar Holdings Ltd, which jumped 6.09% or 0.90 points to $2.01 per share.
Then, Meituan progressed by 4.40% or 9.40 points to $28.63 per share. Also, Hang Lung Properties Ltd improved 4.12% or 0.85 points to $2.76 per share.
In China, the Shenzhen Component Index boosted 0.38% with a net addition of $54.35. This sent the stocks up at $14,405.00 per share.
The Shanghai Composite Index smashed 0.56% with a net increase of $19.35. This sent the stocks higher at $3,466.33 per share.
Eyebright Medical Technology Beijing Co Ltd A led the benchmark’s gains as it spiked 17.46% or 43.82 points to $45.47 per share.
Yibin Paper Industry Co Ltd A followed as it boosted 10.02% or 1.26 points to $2.13 per share.
Then, China Industrial Securities Co Ltd A grew 10.02% or 0.98 points to $1.66 per share.
Additionally, South Korea’s KOSPI and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 raised 0.65% to $3,163.58 and 0.05% to $7,514.40, respectively.
Japan Rebounded as Asia Pacific Stocks Up
Furthermore, Japan’s Nikkei 225 ranked second in contributing to the gains of the Asia Pacific stocks.
The benchmarks soared 0.72% with a net gain of $197.76, which sent the stocks up at $27,622.23 per share.
Its top performers were Toho Zinc Co Ltd, up 4.97% or 99.00 points to $19.07 per share.
Then, Nissan Chemical Corp enhanced 4.16% or 230.00 points to $52.54 per share. In addition, Fujikura Ltd hopped 3.23% or 19.00 points to $5.54 per share.
Moreover, the broader TOPIX Index ameliorated 0.71% with a net addition of $13.55. This sent the stock above at $1,929.18 per share.
