AU Stocks Ended Lower; S&P/ASX 200 Down 1.05%

Australia stocks drifted lower at the close of trade on Tuesday. Therefore, it leads the shares to lower losses in the Gold, Energy, and Resources sectors.

The S&P/ASX 200 lost 1.05% at the close in Sydney.

Remarkably, the outperformers of the session on the S&P/ASX 200 were A2 Milk Company Ltd (ASX:A2M). Significantly, they gained 4.97% or 0.51 points to trade at 10.77 at the close.

Additionally, Netwealth Group Ltd (ASX:NWL) rose 2.88% or 0.46 points to end at 16.44. Moreover, Scentre Group Ltd (ASX:SCG) added 2.63% or 0.07 points to 2.73 in late trade.

Furthermore, the worst performers of the session were Silver Lake Resources Ltd (ASX:SLR). Significantly, they fell 6.79% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.785 at the close. 

Besides, Ramelius Resources Ltd (ASX:RMS) lost 5.97% or 0.105 points to end at 1.655. Service Stream Ltd (ASX:SSM) declined 5.80% or 0.105 points to 1.705.

Moreover, on the Sydney Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 867 to 456, and 327 ended unchanged.

The S&P/ASX 200 VIX was up 4.87% to 14.823. It is what measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options.

Japan Stocks Ended Lower; Nikkei 225 Down 1.04%

Japan stocks also drifted lower after the close on Tuesday. Leading shares lower were the Paper & Pulp, Railway & Bus, and Real Estate sectors.

The outperformers on the Nikkei 225 were Hitachi Zosen Corp. (T:7004). They rose 3.47% or 17.0 points to trade at 507.0 at the close.

Meanwhile, Kikkoman Corp. (T:2801) gained 1.38% or 90.0 points to end at 6600.0. Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (T:7012) rose 1.24% or 26.0 points to 2128.0 in late trade.

Additionally, The session’s worst performers were Toho Zinc Co., Ltd. (T:5707). They fell 9.11% or 242.0 points to trade at 2415.0 at the close.

Fujifilm Holdings Corp. (T:4901) was down 5.95% or 330.0 points to end at 5212.0. Chiyoda Corp. (T:6366) fell 5.61% or 16.0 points to 269.0.

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 3248 to 378, and 115 ended unchanged.

Hitachi Zosen Corp. shares (T:7004) rose to 52-week highs, climbing 3.47% or 17.0 to 507.0.
