The outperformers of the session on the S&P/ASX 200 were Technology One Ltd (ASX:TNE). They rose 5.64% or 0.51 points to trade at 9.56 at the close.
Harvey Norman Holdings Ltd (ASX:HVN) added 5.46% or 0.250 points to end at 4.830. Also, Gold Road Resources Ltd (ASX:GOR) were up 5.17% or 0.060 points to 1.220 in late trade.
Virgin Money PLC (ASX:VUK) were the worst performers of the session. They fell 11.54% or 0.30 points to trade at 2.30 at the close.
Worleyparsons Ltd (ASX:WOR) declined 5.66% or 0.79 points to end at 13.16. Perenti Global Ltd’s (ASX:PRN) were down 4.01% or 0.055 points to 1.315.
Rising stocks exceeded the declining ones on the country’s Sydney Stock Exchange by 651 to 619 and 366 ended unchanged.
On the Sydney Stock Exchange, shares in Harvey Norman Holdings Ltd (ASX:HVN) rose to 3-year highs. They were up 5.46% or 0.250 to 4.830.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 Up 0.91%
Japan stocks ended higher after the close on Thursday. Leading the shares higher were gains in the Paper & Pulp, Railway & Bus and Real Estate sectors.
In Tokyo, at the close, the Nikkei 225 climbed 0.91% to hit a new 5-year high.
The outperformers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Olympus Corp. (T:7733). They rose 4.89% or 105.0 points to trade at 2253.5 at the close.
Moreover, Yahoo Japan Corp. (T:4689) added 4.40% or 27.4 points to end at 649.5. Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd’s. (T:6976) were up 4.15% or 185.0 points to 4645.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. (T:5202). They fell 3.65% or 16.0 points to trade at 422.0 at the close.
Obayashi Corp. (T:1802) declined 3.10% or 30.0 points to end at 939.0. T&D Holdings, Inc. (T:8795) were down 2.98% or 37.0 points to 1204.0.
On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 2103 to 1395 and 217 ended unchanged.
Shares in Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd. (T:6976) rose to 5-year highs. They gained 4.15% or 185.0 to 4645.0.
