EA and Marvel’s three-games deal starts with Iron Man

Video game giant Electronic Arts announces its long-term partnership with Marvel on Tuesday, starting its three-game deal with Iron Man.

While the Iron Man game is set to tap into the character’s rich history, EA plans to feature the game’s original Marvel universe story.

“At Marvel, we strive to find best-in-class teams who can take our characters on heroic journeys in ways they haven’t before and collaborating with Electronic Arts will help us achieve that,” said Marvel Games Executive Vice President Jay Ong.

The California-based game publisher is developing the game for a third-person, single-player experience, which will be available on PCs and consoles.
EA-Marvel collaboration has yet to release specific details about the other two games.

A post from the Marvel Games’ official Twitter account stated, “We’re thrilled to announce a multi-title collaboration between Marvel and EA to develop action-adventure games for consoles and PC! Each game will also be its own original story set in the Marvel Universe.”

Before the EA-Marvel partnership
Prior to the three-game deal with Marvel, EA collaborated with Walt Disney Co, owner of Marvel, to develop Star Wars games.
In contrast to the Iron Man game, the Star Wars games from EA are connected to its movie franchise.

EA expects to bounce back this quarter
EA and Marvel form an exciting partnership before the video-game giant releases its quarterly report on November 1.
According to analysts, EA is expected to sail well during the quarter after releasing the FIFA 23 and Madden 23 in 2022. The promising forecast followed their below-estimate revenue in August when the company was struggling with a low demand due to the pandemic.
