eToro Includes US Stocks and EFTs in its Investment Offering

eToro, one of the world’s most popular social investing platforms, has expanded its presence in the United States with several new U.S. equities and ETFs. eToro customers will be able to diversify their portfolios by making investments in stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in addition to a diverse range of cryptocurrency assets.

Despite the growing popularity of cryptocurrency in the United States, eToro’s recent poll of U.S. consumers indicates that traders who start with cryptocurrencies are more likely to diversify their portfolios over time.

According to the survey results, almost 56% of respondents said they planned to invest in stocks and ETFs in addition to crypto investments.

Lule Demmissie, the CEO of eToro U.S., added that crypto investing is a gateway to stock investment for many new investors. We expect this pattern to continue with increased financial literacy and decreased entry barriers for first-time investors. We look forward to empowering U.S. users to develop their investing journey on the eToro platform and interact with our social community in new ways.

Demmissie added that expanding trading options to include stocks and ETFs is intended to make eToro’s platform more accessible and convenient for people who want to begin investing their money. By giving users more choices, they can select what works best for them when it comes.

In September 2021, Demmissie became the US CEO of eToro. She previously spent ten years at T.D. Ameritrade as the Managing Director of Investment Products & Digital Guidance.

Diversification

The multi-asset financial services firm released a press release in which it emphasized the significance of diversification in today’s global financial trading market. eToro stated that its US-based clients now have the option to combine their crypto and stock investments into a single portfolio.

eToro announced the launch of stock trading in the United States, which allows its millions of U.S. retail investors to invest in a portfolio of diverse assets, including traditional assets and cryptocurrency assets, all from within a single, easy-to-use mobile app or desktop interface.
