FedEx Unveils Mixed Q3 Results, Revenue Drops

On Thursday, FedEx reported its mixed third-quarter financial data with weaker revenue as it combats lower demand with sharp cost cuts. Its stock price improved by 4.48% to $204.05 per share on March 16. Likewise, it is expected to rise by 11.54% to $227.60 in the upcoming session.

The company’s earnings per share jumped to $3.41, beating the experts’ $2.76 forecast, exceeding the previous $3.18 data. However, the revenue of FedEx declined to $22.20 billion, missing the $22.74 estimates. As a result, it is lower than the former $22.80 result.

According to analysts, the shipping business anticipates an adjusted EPS between $14.60 and $15.20 for the fiscal year 2023. The figures are up from the past $13.00 to $14.00 consensus. Also, it announced a net income of $771.00 million for the period, below the $1.11 billion in the same quarter last year.

Moreover, FedEx looks forward to making more than $4.00 billion in cost reductions by the end of FY 2025. It increased its shipping rates by an average of 6.90% at the beginning of the year to balance easing demand. The entity reported an added 11.00% in its revenue per shipment in the fiscal Q3.

Based on CEO Raj Subramaniam’s statement, FedEx keeps moving urgently to improve efficiency to drive a more robust outlook for this fiscal year.

Packaging Handlers Hired at FedEx with Great Perks

Currently, FedEx is searching for new handlers to be included in their operations team. Their role includes ensuring customers get their packages safely and on time.

In Dublin, the newly employed handlers hired by the company will receive a decent salary with benefits, including lower shipping rates. It is looking for part-time staff to work Sunday shifts for eight hours a week. The salary for package handlers would be around €24,840.00 a year. 

According to FedEx, they are looking for people who can work in a fast-paced environment and are great team players.

Some of their perks include a life assurance policy that pays out four times the salary. In addition, an Employee Assistance Program will provide them with support and advice to help their well-being. Also, it includes a hospital cash plan scheme.
