LimeFX Review 2021: How Reliable Is This Broker?
Finding a reliable broker is getting more complicated every day. Investment firms tend to build fake platforms to scam honest traders. Our in-depth broker review provides a detailed analysis of each firm. This helps our readers determine who is worthy of trust.
In our LimeFX review, you will learn some essentials about the broker. What services do they offer, the fees, and the overall conditions?
LimeFX claims to have been established back in 2008 as an STP broker. STP stands for Straight Through Processing. The STP broker directly passes all or part of the Client’s transaction to the liquidity provider for execution. By keeping some transactions internally, STP brokers are creating a market for these transactions, thereby fulfilling the market maker’s role.
However, it is unlikely the brand LimeFX to be existing since 2008. The broker team might be existing for a long, but shady brokers don’t manage to survive this long, and LimeFX hasn’t collected any positive feedback in the market and among the clients yet.
LimeFX broker currently offers Forex and CFDs trading. Crypto and stocks trading is also possible.
Lack Of Safety With LimeFX
The broker is registered in an offshore zone, the Marshall Islands, which already raises many doubts. The website says the broker is regulated by CFTC, which does not seem accurate, as the website does not show the company’s registration/regulation number.
The website asks for an ID verification during the registration, which seems to be the only way to keep your account secure and verified.
Nothing is mentioned about funds segregation, third-party involvement elimination, or other security measures. All these simply mean that the clients’ investments are not safe and protected from the hackers’ attacks or the company itself.

LimeFX seems to have chosen MT4 and XCritical as its primary trading platforms.
MT4 is a market-leading trading software with fast executions, lots of tools, and guaranteed security, but XCritical does not seem to be that exciting.
According to the website, the XCritical trading terminal significantly expanded the capabilities of traders and quickly gained popularity. These are the basic advantages of the XCritical platform:

However, these are just words, and we did not get the chance to explore which trading tools are available, how the chat support works, or what extra protection measures the broker takes.
Simply put, we don’t see XCritical as a professional platform where investors will trade successfully and peacefully.
XCritical is also available as mobile apps to download on your android or iOS phone. However, the mobile services of this platform are even poorer. Traders might find it useful only for checking the updates on their accounts and the market, not actually for trading.

These offers are not that exciting. However, the prices are pretty high. We expect more comfort and services for the traders with such pricy trading accounts.
The good thing is that the broker also offers a “demo real” account. This demo account is free and gives you a chance to try out the platform, trading atmosphere and then trade with them.
LimeFX also claims to give all beginners a first deposit bonus of 30% of the amount credited.
Welcome bonuses are not that often among the regulated and honest brokers. It is more familiar with the fake ones to attract clients.
Deposit And Withdrawal Terms
LimeFX broker accepts several account funding methods: Visa/Master Card, Neteller, Skrill, Wire transfer, arangepay. During withdrawal, the clients are requested to use the same withdrawal method.
The minimum withdrawal amount is at least USD 50.0.
According to the withdrawal terms, the company sets an additional commission of 5% if the Client has completed less than five independent transactions. This rule seems quite shady. The time frame is not mentioned, so the company will most likely use this term against the Client to charge you an extra commission.
If the customer has no activity for 90 consecutive days, the company also reserves the right to charge an account maintenance fee of 5% of the account balance every calendar month. The commission starts to be charged for 91 days and stops when the activity resumes.
Many brokers charge an inactivity fee, so this is not alarming. Also, 90 days is a pretty solid amount of time.
