TikTok raise fund for charities with signatures

According to SensoTower, a Chinese video-sharing social networking service owned by ByteDance, TikTok is the top app for download and revenue for October 2020. Undoubtedly, TikTok is the most popular short video app around the world. As it is known, the giant company is testing a new feature on its platform. Unfortunately, the app’s name is unknown to the public; however, we can tell what the feature does. With the new feature’s help, users can directly raise funds for charities with their personalized signatures.

It is interesting how to use it. After clicking on Edit Personal Signature, customers will see a new option instructing them to choose a non-profit organization and charity for many organizations and charities. After it is selected, the customer’s personalized signature will show charity in red text under their profile. After that, when clients tap on the organizations’ name, it will redirect them to a page that enables donations.

The feature is supported by Tiltify, which is a charity platform devoted to donation transactions. There are various charity organizations on the list, for example, the American Cancer Society,  American Heart, the CDC Foundation, and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty.

Significantly, social media consultant Matt Navarra discovered this new option. On October 10, Tuesday, he tweeted a screenshot of the feature on Twitter, which explains how customers add charities and how guests donate.

Customers can add donation stickers to TikTok video and live streams

Remarkably, the giant app TikTok started another fundraising feature in April, enabling TikTok creators to increase the fund for Coronavirus relief efforts. For now, fundraising activities are possible only through donation stickers, which customers could add to TikTok video as well as live streams. After tapping on the Donation Sticker, you are taken to a page to donate, which is also supported by Tiltify.

Another essential thing to mention is that TikTok verified that charities and non-profit organizations participating in the Donation Sticker program could also get a new personalized signature feature. Most of the social media platforms, such are Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and TikTok, have avenues to donate to the 2020 Covid-19 epidemic.

According to the giant company, TikTok, it will provide $250 million in funding to support people harmed by the covid-19 pandemic. The company also provides an exta $125 million in advertising credits to public health organizations and businesses trying to rebuild. The latest feature directly accessible for testers in the TikTok TestFlight program. However, TikTok did not reveal when this feature will be available to the public.
