German Stocks Mixed as DAX Rose 0.11% and MDAX Fell 0.45%

On Monday, August 9, German stocks were mixed as the DAX climbed 0.11% and the MDAX Performance Index fell 0.45%. Meanwhile, France’s CAC 40 gained 0.53%.

In the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the DAX Index rose 0.11%, with a net increase of $16.78. This sent the stocks higher to $15,761 per share.

Allianz SE led its gains as it smashed 2.51% or 4.84 points to $232.51. Bayer AG followed as it grew 2.13% or 0.98 points to $55.29 per share.

Then, Siemens Energy AG improved by 2.03% or 0.47 points to $27.80 per share.

Meanwhile, the benchmark’s worst performers include Merck KGaA, which plummeted 4.33% or 8.15 points to $211.90 per share.

Also, Adidas AG lost 1.72% or 5.45 points to $365.19 per share. Then, RWE AG subsided 1.04% or 0.32 points to $35.89 per share.

Moreover, the MDAX Performance Index declined 0.45%, with a net loss of $160.61. This sent the stocks to the bottom at $35,566 per share.

Rational AG led the benchmark’s losses as it crashed 7.33% or 75.50 points to $954.00 per share.

Then, Auto1 Group SE fluctuated 7.19% or 2.90 points to $44.04 per share. Additionally, MorphoSys AG also tumbled 3.81% or 1.77 points to $52.48 per share.

On the other hand, its top performers were ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, which gained 4.78% or 0.73 points to $18.70 per share.

Commerzbank AG followed as it spiked 2.49% or 0.13 points to $6.24 per share. Then, Hannover Rueck SE jumped 2.44% or 3.55 points to $175.21 per share.

France Stocks Up

 

Furthermore, the CAC 40 index of France soared 0.53%, with a net increase of $35.77. This sent the stocks above at $6,817 per share.

Its best performers include Atos SE, which rallied 10.87% or 4.25 points to $43.34 per share.

BNP Paribas SA followed as it also progressed 3.03% or 1.59 points to $63.50 per share. Then, Crédit Agricole SA advanced 2.92% or 0.35 points to $14.44 per share.

Meanwhile, the benchmark’s worst performers were Teleperformance SE which fell 0.80% or 2.90 points to $422.28 per share.

Also, Thales SA lost 0.67% or 0.60 points to $103.93 per share. Lastly, Danone SA dropped 0.48% or 0.30 points to $62.70 per share.
