Google has redesigned Search for its mobile platform

Google, a multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services, has modified its services. The giant company has redesigned Search for its mobile platform to simplify the search experience. Significantly, the re-newed design will be rolling out to both iOS and Android users.

Notably, the new redesign was led by Aileen Cheng. She explained the changed and the idea behind the new design through a blog post, saying that the company wanted to take a step back to simplify a bit. Therefore, people could find what they are looking for faster and more easily.

According to Aileen Cheng, rethinking the visual design for something like Search is complicated. She said that they are organizing the web’s information and all the data across the world. The company started with managing web pages. As Aileen noted, there is so much diversity in the types of content, and information they have to help make sense. Let us see some of the new design.

The first change is that Google is bringing information into focus. According to Aileen, Google wants to let the search results shine. It wants users to concentrate on the information rather than the design elements. She said that it is about simplifying the experience and getting people to the information they are looking for as simply and swiftly as possible.

Google is making the text more comfortable to read. Significantly, the Google Search team made the text larger so the human eye can scan and understand Search results quicker. Aileen said that they are making the result and section titles bigger. Furthermore, the update also includes more of Google’s font, which already shows up in Android and Gmail.

Furthermore, the giant company is “creating more room.” According to Aileen, their team decided to create a new edge-to-edge result design and minimize shadows. Moreover, she added that it is making it easier to see what the user is looking for immediately. Aileen said you would have more visual space and breathing room for Search results and other content to take centre stage.

Google is going to use colour to highlight. The company’s team focused on centring content and images against a clean background and utilizing colour more intentionally to guide the eye to important information without being distracting.
