HP’s new 4K business webcam uses AI technology

HP unveiled several new products, including an all-in-one desktop, a 4K streaming webcam, a laptop and tablet hybrid device, as well as improvements to the Proactive Insights.

The company’s new 4K business webcam uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and contains a Sony Starvis CMOS sensor.

This $199.99 HP 965 device has to be connected to a host computer with the firm’s Accessory Center software running so that it would properly run.

The device’s frontal part has an 18mm f/2.0 lens and the camera could capture 4K at 30 fps or FHD at 60 fps.

HP’s webcam developers claim that a camera provides a “tru-to-life” look with its color correction and HDR programs.

Also, it has dual microphones comparable to Dell’s 2K webcam that provides better noise reduction features and sound clarity.

Furthermore, the webcam could be mounted on the host PC’s monitor, tripod, or stand on any surface.

Besides, the device comes with a privacy cover and a detachable USB-A cable. Additionally, it has a 360-degree swivel and it has a top hinge that could be rotated 90 degrees downward.

During presentations, the 4K streaming webcam can apply a keystone correction when presenting documents using the camera.

IPS Black Monitor

Among the new products that HP has revealed is the Z32k G3 monitor that utilizes IPS Black technology, which is the first of such display that supports Thunderbolt 4.

The said monitor measures 31.5 inches and comes with a 4K resolution.

Also, the display itself has ultra-wide viewing angles and support for up to two 4K monitors via the use of Thunderbolt 4. Besides, it has a bandwidth of up to 40Gbps.

According to HP developers, the combination of IPS Black and Thunderbolt 4 makes it the world’s first monitor that has this technology.

Furthermore, the display comes with USB-C, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and four USB-A 3.2 ports.
