iPhone 14 Pro display leaked, Apple launch event next week

With less than a week before Apple’s most anticipated launch event this year, the specs of its iPhone 14 pro device was reportedly leaked to the public.

During the event, technology enthusiasts expect the company to release four iPhone 14 models, including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Some insiders said that the iPhone 14 Pro would be getting a pill and hole punch display, in addition to cutouts that could appear as a single long pill shape once turned on. Also, it will show a camera plus microphone privacy touchstone.

The separate pill and hole cutouts are not visually set apart when the display is powered on. Yet, it appears as one connecting, longer pill shape.

Furthermore, the device is reported to use software to make the two new display cutouts appear like one seamless channel. This change is aimed to redesign the Camera application.

Currently, Apple uses a small dot in the upper right of the screen that turns orange or green when a certain app uses the device’s microphone or camera. With the new iPhone 14 Pro, the tech giant is projected to shift these indicators and make them more visible.

Apple launch event

On September 07, Apple will be holding a launch event at its headquarters in Cupertino, California and it is anticipated to announce new models of iPhone devices. The assumption stemmed from the company’s pattern of release every September since 2012.

The tech giant has used pre-recorded videos for its launch events since early 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This time, the firm is expected to launch its new devices with an in-person component.

Still, the launching would be streamed online on its website and on Youtube in addition to inviting some media to its headquarter campus.

Its hype-filled autumn launches are a signature event as they typically attract millions of simultaneous viewers on YT.
