Japan Stocks up As Nikkei 225 Hits Fresh One-Month High

On Tuesday, August 31, Japanese stocks were up as the Nikkei 225 led gains by 1.08%, hitting a fresh one-month high. While in the Asia Pacific region, the ASX 200 also rose.

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Real Estate, Paper & Pulp, and Railway & Bus sectors led the higher shares.

The Nippon Yusen K.K. led the benchmark’s gains as it progressed 3.60% or 300.00 points. This sent the company’s stock price above $80.48 per share.

Likewise, Rakuten Inc. jumped 3.41%, with a net increase of $38.00. This sent the stock price to the top at $10.45 per share.

Also, JFE Holdings, Inc. spiked 3.30%, with a net gain of $57.00. This sent the firm’s stock price higher to $16.20 per share.

On the other hand, the worst performers of the Nikkei 225 include Keio Corp., which plummeted 3.74% or 230.00 points. This sent the stock price lower to $53.72 per share.

Then, Odakyu Electric Railway Co. Ltd. decreased 3.25% with a net decline of $68.00. This sent the stock price to the bottom at $23.26 per share.

Consequently, T&D Holdings, Inc. subsided 3.19% with a net fall of $44.00 points. This sent the company’s stock price to the ground at $12.11 per share.

Furthermore, the declining stocks outnumbered the rising shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange from 1921 to 1550. Then, 279 businesses closed unchanged.

In addition, the shares of Nippon Yusen K.K. climbed to five-year highs. Likewise, the shares of JFE Holdings, Inc. spiked to a 52-week high.

Australian Stocks Pushed Asia Pacific Up as Japan Rose

 

The same with Japan, Australian stocks also pushed the Asia Pacific shares higher.

The MSCI All Countries Asia Pacific Index smashed 1.27% with a net gain of $2.54. This sent the stocks above at $201.79 per share.

On the Sydney Stock Exchange, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 hopped 0.41% as the sectors in the A-REITs, and IT Industrials led the shares higher.

Its best performers include Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals Ltd., which gained 10.69% or 3.65 points at $27.75 per share.

Appen Ltd. followed as it contributed by rising 6.97% or 0.70 points to $7.89 per share.

Then, Wisetech Global Ltd. also increased 5.73% or 2.62 points to $35.51 per share.
