Lenovo Partners with SMF to Initiate AI Upskilling

On Thursday, Lenovo partnered with the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) to boost the employees’ artificial intelligence (AI) skills.

Additionally, the collaboration offers workforces in the manufacturing and retail sectors with upskilling and reskilling programs.

Based on reports, Lenovo aims to strengthen the trade, enterprise, manufacturing, and services segments of Singapore. Correspondingly, this initiative with SMF underpins the company’s commitment to the 2030 vision for the country’s economy.

More concretely, it equips employees with practical skills and knowledge through hands-on experience with AI-powered tools.

The endeavor also targets bridging the gap in smart technology skills, allowing businesses to maximize advanced technologies.

In line with this, Lenovo introduced several solutions to improve their productivity and the experiences of customers in different sectors. Subsequently, the AI-powered tools would benefit small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore to remain competitive in the digital landscape.

Moreover, the electronics manufacturer integrated the Automated Storage and Retrieval System and Supply Chain Intelligence into its smart manufacturing suite.

At the same time, it included the Dynamic Pricing and Electronic Shelf Labels in its smart retail solutions, boosting operational efficiency.

According to Country General Manager Nigel Lee, Lenovo acknowledges that the workforce of Singapore serves as the economy’s backbone.

Alzheimer’s Intelligence Introduced by Lenovo

Innovations in Dementia and Lenovo revealed their latest collaboration called Alzheimer’s Intelligence.

As indicated by reports, it combines experiences and insights from individuals to offer factual and compassionate guidance.

In connection, the AI avatar provides conversational support for patients and families facing Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Lenovo designed the project to aid in understanding the disease and daily struggles. However, the company emphasizes that it does not give medical advice.

Furthermore, the tech manufacturer used the ThinkStation P7 servers and ThinkPad laptops to develop the technology. Kaleida also helped in ensuring the privacy and security of the AI avatar.
