London’s All-Share Index Led European Stocks Up

On Monday, August 23, London’s FTSE All-Share Index and FTSE 100 Index both smashed 0.45% and 0.41%, respectively, leading the European stocks higher.

The FTSE All-Share Index pushed London’s stock market higher as it climbed 0.45% with a net gain of $18.39. This sent the stock above at $4,082.53 per share.

Then, the FTSE 100 Index followed as it also pushed London’s stocks higher. It spiked 0.41% with a net increase of $29.04, sending the stocks up at $7,087.90 per share.

Its best performers include J.D. Sports Fashion PLC, which progressed 2.87% or 27.80 points to $1,360.43 per share.

Imperial Brands PLC followed as it jumped 2.50% or 38.00 points to $2,124.99 per share.

Its worst performers were Anglo American PLC which plummeted 1.49% or 43.50 points to $3,914.91 per share.

Then, Phoenix Group Holdings PLC plunged 1.36% or 8.60 points to $851.63 per share.

Moreover, Germany, which is the region’s largest economy, followed London’s progress.

In the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the DAX Index improved 0.27%, with a net increase of $42.23. This sent the stocks higher at $15,808.04 per share.

Infineon Technologies AG led its gains by 2.25% or 0.85 points to $40.23 per share. 

In addition, the MDAX Performance Index climbed 0.15%, with a net gain of $53.45. This sent the stocks up at $35,662.35 per share.

Its top performer was Sartorius AG Pfd which boosted 2.90% or 16.00 points to $664.86 per share.

STOXX Europe 50 followed London’s Gains

 

Furthermore, STOXX Europe 50 followed London’s gains by improving 0.34% with a net increase of $12.23. This sent the stocks higher at $3,617.95 per share.

Its best performers include Adyen N.V., which spiked 3.90% or 98.50 points to $59.76 per share.

Then, British American Tobacco PLC followed as it grew 1.55% or 41.50 points to $3,700.38 per share.

Also, Novo Nordisk A/S Series B hopped 1.54% or 10.30 points to $107.24 per share.

Consequently, the STOXX Europe 600 Index raised 0.33% with a net increase of $1.56. This sent the stocks above at $468.80 per share.

Its top performers were Marks & Spencer Group PLC, which soared 14.09% or 20.10 points to $222.18 per share.

Netcompany Group A/S followed as it advanced 6.17% or 48.50 points to $131.49 per share.

Lastly, Wm. Morrison Supermarkets PLC tweaked 4.23% or 11.80 points to $397.14 per share.
