Meta to Launch New AI Tool to Personalize Chatbots

On Monday, Meta Platforms announced that it will release a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool called AI Studio that allows users to personalize chatbots.

The new tool lets users create customized AI characters and enables Instagram creators to use the designed characters. According to the company, user-made chatbots would handle common direct message questions and story replies.

Its function would save time and effort for their makers as they could respond using their voices. Users can also share the characters on its various platforms.

Moreover, the AI Studio is integrated with Meta Llama 3.1, a massive version of its mostly free AI models launched last week. It will be available in several languages and has performance metrics rivaling competitors’ models such as OpenAI.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg claims that he sees great potential in AI’s ability to help people, mainly creators. He aims for their new AI tool to support small businesses and creators in making AI versions of themselves. They would serve as agents or assistants for interactions in the community.

In addition, the Meta head noted that people can personalize their agents for specific types of uses. Zuckerberg mentioned that some chatbots can be customized utility tools while others can be used for entertainment.
