On Thursday, Microsoft revealed that it has integrated Nvidia’s GeForce NOW on its Xbox official store pages.
According to reports, the unification lets users choose between Xbox Cloud Gaming or Nvidia’s graphics processing unit (GPU) GeForce NOW service to view a game listing on the web.
The Microsoft-owned video gaming platform announced in an X post that it has enabled GeForce NOW on its game pages. This addition will allow users to launch supported games on the Nvidia-owned platform via Xbox.
Moreover, the cloud tech giant currently lists only Xbox Cloud Gaming on game listings, making the integration of Nvidia’s GPU service astonishing.
However, the play with cloud feature has not yet been available. As a result, it remains unclear if it links to GeForce NOW’s homepage or launches the game directly.
Meanwhile, Nvidia’s GeForce NOW RTX 4080 tier is primarily the most impressive cloud gaming service. The firm has claimed that its end-to-end latency surpasses an Xbox Series X running locally on a 60-hertz television.
Moreover, Microsoft and Nvidia have an agreement on cloud gaming partnerships. These companies have inked a 10-year deal, which enables the artificial intelligence computing firm to license Xbox PC games for GeForce NOW, including Activision Blizzard titles.
Nvidia, Microsoft Cloud Gaming Partnership Grows
Since Nvidia and Microsoft announced their collaboration in February 2023, both companies have developed their relationships through cloud gaming services.
The partnership has added games available on the cloud tech giant PC Game Pass to the GPU maker’s GeForce NOW services.
According to reports, the first games started appearing in May last year, and numerous PC Game Pass titles were eventually integrated into the platform.
Meanwhile, Nvidia launched an update to GeForce NOW earlier in 2024. The overhaul will allow users to sync their Xbox accounts and Microsoft Store purchases to the cloud gaming service.
Moreover, members can now livestream Xbox PC games via PC Game Pass on GeForce NOW.
