RoboForex seeks to increase its brand presence in Latin America through a new sponsorship deal with the Peruvian professional football club, Cienciano.
The original contract between the forex and CFD broker sponsoring the football club will expire after the 2022-2023 playing season. They’re still determining whether they plan to renew the deal or what the financial terms of the new deal may entail.
The popular Latin American football club, Club Cienciano, was established in 1901 in the historical city of Cusco. The broker established the club as a strategic move to expand its popularity among Latin American football fans. The club has won two international trophies and is one of Peru’s oldest football clubs.
According to Sami Otman, the CBO at RoboForex in Latin America, they’re smitten by Peru’s people, culture, history, and amazing Cienciano club. He added that this reaffirmed their commitment to the club and all of Peru.
The partnership will include social services around football, though the broker did not reveal how many promotional slots it received.
With a capacity of over 42,000 spectators, Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega—the club’s home turf—is an excellent place for any brand to promote itself.
“We are sponsoring Cienciano because they have outstanding fans and a great trajectory,” RoboForex stated.
Brokers and Football
Many brands have found sponsoring football clubs to be an effective marketing tactic. Some trading companies have signed large sponsorship deals with well-known football clubs, while others have partnered with many big and small football teams. eToro alone has close to twenty active sponsorship agreements.
The corporation belonging to RoboForex has sponsored a football team before. Their sister brand, RoboMarkets, sponsors the German club Eintracht and participates in other sports deals teams.
