S&P 500 and Dow Jones Rebounded Higher, NASDAQ Rallied 0.78%

On Friday, August 6, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rebounded from yesterday’s losses while the NASDAQ Composite continued to rally.

The benchmark S&P 500 grew 0.60% with a net gain of $26.44. This sent the stocks up at $4,429 per share.

The best performers of the S&P 500 Index include Penn National Gaming Inc which climbed 9.09% or 6.02 points to $72.26 per share.

Then, Wynn Resorts Ltd rose 8.33% or 7.59 points to $98.68 per share. Also, American Airlines Group Inc gained 7.51% or 1.46 points to $20.91 per share.

However, the CBOE Volatility Index, which gauges the implied volatility of the S&P 500 options, plummeted 3.84% to 17.28.

Moreover, the Dow Jones Industrial Average spiked 0.78% with a net increase of $271.58. This sent the stock higher to $35,064 per share.

Its top performers include Salesforce.com Inc which improved 2.62% or 6.39 points to $250.56 per share.

Amgen Inc followed as it progressed 2.49% or 5.68 points to $233.99 per share. Then, Walt Disney Co jumped 2.39% or 4.13 points to $176.71 per share.

Consequently, the NASDAQ Composite Index rallied 0.78% with a net gain of $14.50. This sent the stocks above at $14,895 per share.

Score Media & Gaming Inc led its gains as it soared 79.93% or 14.50 points to $32.64 per share.

Then, Zymergen Inc also boosted 75.15% or 6.20 points to $14.45 per share. Additionally, SiTime Corp advanced 31.21% or 44.00 points to $185.00 per share.

World Stocks Mixed

Furthermore, as the S&P 500, the Dow Jones, and the NASDAQ Composite all climbed, major indices in the European Union also rose. Meanwhile, the Asia Pacific is mixed.

In Germany, the DAX Index increased 0.33% with a net gain of $52.54. This sent the stocks higher at $15,745 per share.

The same with the MDAX Performance Index which also jumped 0.68% or $241.47. This sent the stocks up at $35,727 per share.

In France, the CAC 40 Index progressed 0.52% with a net addition of $34.96. This sent the stock above at $6,781.

In the Asia Pacific, Japan’s Nikkei 225 smashed 0.29% or 80.31 points to $27,8080.43 per share.

On the other hand, China’s Shanghai Composite and Shenzhen Component both declined 0.48% to $3,449.85 and 0.47% to $14,801.72, respectively.
