TMGM Inks Long-Term APAC Partnership with Chelsea

TMGM, a leading brokerage firm with a substantial footprint in the Asia Pacific region, has formed a multi-year alliance with Chelsea, a renowned English football team. This collaboration is TMGM’s inaugural venture with a prominent global football club.

TMGM Clinches Major Contract

Chelsea unveiled this partnership recently on its website, highlighting that TMGM is now its Official Regional Online Forex and Trading Partner in the APAC region. However, the football club did not reveal the financial specifics of the deal.

With regulatory licenses in Mauritius, New Zealand, and Vanuatu, TMGM, a broker headquartered in Australia, operates across three continents. It offers its clientele platforms to trade contracts for difference (CFD) on forex, shares, cryptocurrencies, futures, indices, metals, and energies.

Before this, TMGM sponsored several sports events in the area, including the Australian Open tennis tournament and the ASEAN Football Federal Mitsubishi Electric Cup. With this new agreement, TMGM aims to extend its trading expertise to Chelsea’s supporters, stated Nick Yang, TMGM’s Chief Commercial Officer.

According to Yang, the goal is to identify potential synergies, cultivate shared experiences for their communities, and make a lasting impact. From Chelsea’s perspective, this partnership will facilitate the creation of activations that will enhance brand recognition and understanding of TMGM as a forex trading provider.

The collaboration will also provide exclusive content, events, and experiences for the brokerage’s clients and the football club’s fans throughout the APAC region. TMGM’s recent deal with Chelsea is one of several agreements brokerages and football clubs signed this year.

Earlier this month, AUS Global entered into a partnership agreement with Real Betis, a Spanish football club. eToro has also signed multiple deals with football clubs in the UK and Netherlands since the beginning of the year.

In addition to football, the Israel-based social trading and investment services provider has partnered with the Spanish basketball team, Baskonia, and the English professional rugby union league, Premiership Rugby.

Brokers in Sporting Partnerships

The online trading industry is shifting from football to other niche games. Forex and CFD brokers are now sponsoring various sports, including racing, golf, and eSports. They also support regional sports like rugby and cricket. However, according to industry insiders’ estimates, these deals can carry a hefty price tag, potentially as high as $50 million.
