Twitter Brought Edit Button for Premium Subscribers

Twitter has finally made editing tweets a reality but only for its premium subscribers. Also, the platform has adapted TikTok’s vertical video feature.

The social media platform’s paid membership service, Twitter Blue, offers the editing option. The new feature is now rolling out in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

The blue bird mobile application has confirmed that it has been working on the edit feature since the beginning of this year.

Last week, it started the internal testing and had already shown it to premium subscribers for the first time.

The announcement was made on the platform’s Twitter account and made a blog post explaining how the new editing feature works.

According to the company, the Edit Tweet feature would allow users to fix typos, hashtags, and other related errors within a 30-minute period after the content gets published.

Once a particular tweet has been edited, it will have visual cues such as an icon, timestamp, and label to show users that their content has been modified.

Twitter Blue is a subscription service that permits members to access the platform’s advanced features. This premium offer costs $4.99 a month.

TikTok’s Vertical Video Feature is Now on Twitter

Recently, Twitter announced that a new short-video tab feature is already available on its micro-blogging platform, copying that of TikTok, just like what Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube did.

To view the stack of horizontal videos on the blue bird app, a user must go to the Search on Explore tab and scroll down to the For You tab. Tap on it, and a lineup of short videos related to what a user has read or watched on the platform will appear.

Besides, the media viewer expands the videos to full screen with a single click, which allows users for a full viewing experience.

If a user would like to exit the viewer and go back to the home feed, he needs to click back the arrow in the top left corner.
