Wearable Device Company Fitbit and Medicare

Modern technologies have the potential to help millions of people around the world. Wearable device company plans to include its devices in Medicare Advantage plans from the insurance companies.

 

These wireless-enabled activity trackers will become part of 59 plans offered by UnitedHealthcare in 27 states.

 

Importantly, WellCare Health Plans offers Georgia Medicaid adult members with Type2 diabetes a Fitbit inspired device. However, it is important to mention that only patients who will complete their Fitbit Diabetes Program. This way, members will have the chance to change their lifestyles easier thank Fitbit’s devices.

 

Hopefully, Medicare, as well as Medicaid, are expanding into underserved populations. People will learn more about their health by using such devices.

 

Moreover, the wearable device company is working on accelerating detection and diagnosis of conditions like atrial fibrillation.

 

Last year, the company partnered with two of the largest pharmaceutical companies. Fitbit formed the first pharma partnership with Bristol-Myers Squibb-Pfizer Alliance.

Fitbit reduced the price of its devices

A wearable device company slashed the price of several devices. For example, the price of the Fitbit Charge 3 fell by $40 to $99.95 on Amazon.

 

This device comes with a fitness tracker, including modes such as calorie burns and exercise modes. The Fitbit Charge 3 has a battery life of up to 7 days. Also, this device water-resistant.

 

Moreover, the Ionic watch also fell to $180 on Amazon. This watch offers the most Fitbit features. However, it also has a SmartTrack feature. This feature automatically records workouts like running or swimming.

 

Furthermore, the price of Versa Lite declined from $160 to $119. The Vera Lite is available with Bluetooth between smartphones.
