ZERO Markets has joined the premier league sponsors by partnering with the Wolverhampton Wanderers Premier League club (Wolves). The firm has previously promoted itself through sports but not in high-ranking English football. Wolves Club has a history of financial company partnerships.
ZERO Markets and Wolves Premier League Partnership
The terms of the partnership between the two entities include collaboration in a range of initiatives to engage trading enthusiasts and football fans through digital activations and content creation.
According to the firm’s CEO, Paddy Zhang, they’re proud to partner with a club that echoes their values of innovation and determination. The official adds that the partnership will allow them to redefine success in football and trading, as well as the broader sports and finance landscape.
The agreement follows the club’s history of partnership with financial services firms. In past seasons, the Wolves had a similar agreement with Trade Nation and AstroPay. Last month, it signed a similar deal with Neo (the cross-border payments and foreign exchange (FX) fintech). As a result, Neo is Wolves’s partner for official foreign currency exchange.
SportQuake’s (deal facilitator) CEO, Matt House, noted the two entities’ alignment, quoting their shared commitment to innovation, making them a perfect brand match. Matt adds that Wolverhampton Wanderers will offer worldwide exposure to ZERO Markets and anticipates a successful and fruitful partnership.
Wolves are known for brand diversification beyond traditional sports and marketing. They have started ventures such as an esports brand and a record label. Their partnership with ZERO Markets continues their unconventional collaboration exploration.
Brokers and Football
Football is the most popular sport globally, and it has countless fans. Thus, brokers can get massive exposure to international audiences by sponsoring football teams and events. That matches the worldwide nature of CFD and forex trading, giving brokers simultaneous access to potential clients in various markets.
As of last year, football is the top sport among brokers, outperforming esports, racing, golf, and regional popular sports.
Sports club brokers and financial firms regularly negotiate deals. A perfect example is the agreement between British Millwall and fintech MyGuava last month. Also, the cryptocurrency exchange Bingx extended its collaboration with Chelsea FC as the training kit sponsor. Meanwhile, West Ham United has partnered with QuickBooks as its new sleeve sponsor.
