Lars Seier Christensen, co-founder of Saxo Bank, invested an undisclosed amount in Skynet Trading through his Seier Capital, alongside Edessa Capital’s recent investment.
These supporters are Skynet’s first external private investors, coming at a time when cryptocurrencies peaked. The co-founders celebrated this as a critical growth phase, thanking Seier and Edessa for their strategic insights.
Christensen compared FX and crypto markets, leveraging his extensive finance and investment background from founding Saxo Bank and owning FC Copenhagen.
Christensen and Edessa Capital Invest in Skynet
Christensen left Saxo Bank in 2017 after selling his share and starting Seier Capital. Edessa, founded by former Arrington Capital partners, targets digital asset companies.
Both see Skynet Trading’s resilience as a prime investment opportunity. Amidst these ventures, Saxo Bank is considering selling its stakes, possibly fetching between EUR 1.5 billion and EUR 2 billion, following a failed public listing attempt via a SPAC deal.
