On Thursday, Sony unveiled Project Leonardo, an accessibility-focused PS5 controller, at its Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event.
The firm’s stock price declined by 0.39% to $77.50 per share on January 05. Yet, it is anticipated to rebound higher by 0.84% to $78.15 apiece on Friday.
This new highly customizable controller kit was designed for disabled gamers to play comfortably for a longer period.
Sony said Project Leonardo features a strong suite of substitutable buttons and analog sticks.
Besides, its button mapping and control profiles allow players to personalize their gaming experience.
Also, the project works independently or unitedly with the PS5’s DualSense controller.
Furthermore, Sony described the controller as generally onstage. Yet, analysts believe it to be a hub with swappable parts and plates. Also, it could let players connect different items, such as breathing tubes, pedals, and switches, to activate the buttons.
The entity’s representative said the UFO-shaped device could hold an analog joystick with eight toggles. Moreover, it could be paired with each other or with a traditional controller to offer substitutes for any function.
In addition, Sony said it is working with AbleGamers, SpecialEffect, and Stack Up in developing Project Leonardo.
Currently, the device is still under development, and there is no release date or price yet.
On Wednesday, Honda and Sony unveiled their collaborated prototype electric vehicle called Afeela.
The former said it would utilize its broad entertainment content to become a player in next-generation cars.
At the CES 2023 event, Sony provided a glimpse of Afeela, having sports rounded corners and a glossy black roof.
Besides, it will use hardware manufacturer Qualcomm’s technology and Snapdragon digital chassis.
Moreover, Sony aims to harness its traditional leverage in sensors as Afeela would be equipped with over 40.
In addition, the new vehicle would use the Unreal Engine 3D creation tool from Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite.
